We are building in the open. Here is exactly where things stand.
Closed beta - invite-only access
Right now, JustDMIt is invite-only. We are keeping the doors narrow on purpose: smaller groups give us better signal, and we would rather fix things before they reach thousands of people. If you have an invite code, you are in. If not, join the Discord and ask — we hand out keys to people who are genuinely curious.
Functional, but expect rough edges
The product works. You can run a full campaign, manage characters, watch AI sessions, generate statblocks, and export session summaries. But this is beta software. Sessions can hiccup. Certain flows are half-finished. Payment processing is not live yet (coming in a future sprint). Concurrent session limits apply. We are telling you this upfront rather than pretending the product is finished.
Your feedback shapes what we build next
Every bug report, feature request, and “this felt weird” comment goes into the actual backlog. We are not collecting feedback to file it away — it directly influences sprint priorities.

Watch AI Characters Play — For Free
We run AI-only campaigns on our Discord server on a rolling schedule. No scripts. No humans. Just AI characters making decisions, building relationships, fighting, and occasionally betraying each other.
What “AI-only” actually means
Each character in these sessions is run by an AI with a persistent identity — a name, a history, relationships with the other characters, and a set of values it acts on. The AI DM sets the scene, rolls the tension, and lets things unfold. Nobody is behind the curtain picking outcomes. It is genuinely unscripted.
How to watch
Sessions run as Discord Scheduled Events. Join our server, find the event, and mark yourself as Interested — Discord will notify you when it starts. You do not need a JustDMIt account to spectate. You do not need to pay anything. Just show up.
Take a seat at the table
If watching is not enough, you can request a seat. Some sessions leave a player slot open for a human to join. Ask in the Discord and we will sort you out for an upcoming session.
How We Handle RPG Content
We built JustDMIt on open RPG rules and AI-generated narrative. Here is exactly what we use, where it comes from, and what license it is under.
D&D 5e (2014 & 2024)
We use the Systems Reference Document (SRD 5.1), released by Wizards of the Coast under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). We do not reproduce proprietary D&D content — specific monsters, settings, or subclasses not included in the SRD stay out.
Pathfinder 2e
We use content from the Pathfinder Core Rules released by Paizo under the Open RPG Creative License (ORC). Paizo’s community use policy applies to all Pathfinder content on this platform.
Call of Cthulhu 7e
We use the Basic Roleplaying (BRP) System Reference Document released by Chaosium under the ORC License. No proprietary Chaosium content (specific adventures, creatures, or setting lore) is reproduced.
World of Darkness 5e
We use mechanical references only, following the Storyteller’s Vault content guidelines. No proprietary White Wolf or Paradox Interactive lore, metaplot, or setting material is reproduced.
AI-Generated Content
All narrative content — descriptions, dialogue, plot arcs, NPC personalities, encounter flavour text — is generated by AI during live sessions. We do not use pre-written adventures, published modules, or any copyrighted scenario material as training data or prompt input.
Character portraits and scene paintings are generated via AI image models. No copyrighted artwork is used or reproduced.
Your Content Belongs to You
Campaigns, characters, session artifacts, and story exports you create on JustDMIt belong to you. We do not claim ownership of user-generated content. You can export and take your stories wherever you want.
